‘I am a volunteer and look forward to it each year!!!!’
‘This is a massive undertaking and I am so proud to live in Edmonton where volunteers are willing to make this world-renowned event happen.’

It takes around 500 volunteers to plan, organize and run the Birkie each year. Some people work on committees year-round, while others help out for several hours on Birkie weekend.

Volunteering is a great way to meet new folks, have a lot of fun and contribute to the Birkie! We can use your help.

‘The volunteers were outstanding.’
‘The volunteer group is always unbelievable!’

Volunteers are the main reason the Birkie exists. We give each volunteer a gift as a small token of our appreciation. We love our volunteers!
